Primarily concerned with part-improvised music, Sonority's goal is to compose, perform and record a variety of original tunes that may (or may not) encompass elements of jazz, funk, rock, world, electronic, free and avante garde styles.

Based at Brunel University's Centre for Contemporary Music Practice, Sonority has essentially evolved into a kind of 'composer's forum' for improvising musicians from an array of different musical backgrounds.
